The environmental monitoring service provided by the military police is essential in disrespect for the sustainable development of the Amazon region and especially the municipalities of the Jamari Valley, where it is the largest concentration of environmental reserves in the state of Rondônia. On the other hand, in addition to the rural inspection service, the Environmental Police also acts to preserve public order and, therefore, has the legitimacy to restrict, when necessary, some individual or collective rights of persons that violate the Brazilian legal system. It is known that the environment is not only composed of forests, rivers and other natural environments, but is defined as being a whole set of living beings and their biotic and abiotic components that at the end of the food chain contribute to the well being of a society.
