The article addresses the evangelization of the Catholic Church and the rites of initiation into the Christian life. Today, problems and challenges for the faith are emerging, such as Christian follow-up; the maintenance of the relational bond of belonging to the community as a guarantee of follow-up and practice of the initial sacraments. The study focuses on research on documents of the Catholic Church in a social and religious context. The language and implications for the disciple's action are analyzed, as well as the follow-up and experience in a pedagogical and pastoral perspective. Fundamental concepts such as faith, community, follow-up, announcement and discipleship are explained. It is reflected in a theological-pastoral perspective, in order to face the new languages ??and current trends, in a perspective of hope as a continuous force in discipleship practice.
